Technical Support Specialist

The Technical Support Specialist is in the team of Technical Support. This team is managed by the Head of Technical Support and is positioned within the larger area of CrestOptics Marketing and Sales.

The team works on one side, in direct contact with customers, to support their needs or issues with instruments, on the other side, with the team of sales agents and business developers.

The main responsibilities are:

  • Repair of mechanical, electronic, and optomechanical parts of CrestOptics’ products;
  • Preparation and installation of CrestOptics systems on site for demonstrations performed by the Sales team;
  • Preparation of CrestOptics demonstration systems for sending viewing to customers;
  • Remote technical support to the customer (email communication, virtual meeting);
  • Installation or repair of CrestOptics systems at the customer’s site, with availability to travel Worldwide for periods of a few days

 

Candidate requirements:

  • Secondary School Diploma in Technical Studies (electronics/mechanics/technology)
  • Work experience in post-sales jobs and customer support, especially with international customers and realities.
  • Soft Skill: Ability to work in a team with a strong collaborative spirit and with different professional figures within the company
  • Good knowledge of the written and spoken English language (B1 or higher), enough to be able to hold telephone, written, and spoken conversations in English with customers.
  • Good knowledge of the Office Software.
  • Desirable: basic knowledge of mechanical and/or electronics design software
  • Availability to travel worldwide for occasional missions of a few days

Location: Rome

Terms: Full-Time (from Monday to Friday)
