The “Imaging-based spatial-omics” EMBO practical course will take place at the EMBL in Rome, Italy, from June 25th to 30th 2023.
The course organized by EMBL will consist of lectures, hands-on practical sessions, discussions, and data analysis sessions. The EMBL laboratory in Rome is equipped with state-of-the-art microscopy and imaging instruments for spatial-omics applications. During practical sessions, we, as CrestOptics, will demonstrate how X-Light V3 spinning disk and DeepSIM X-Light super-resolution systems address spatial-omics questions. In collaboration with Dr. Alvaro Crevenna, Head of the Microscopy Facility at EMBL-Rome, we will also present our latest published results on how CrestOptics SIM microscopy improves spot detection and data quality in spatial transcriptomics (here the original reference: Linares A. et al, Structured Illumination Microscopy Improves Spot Detection Performance in Spatial Transcriptomics; Cells, 2023)
The course’s objective is to offer attendees a thorough initiation into the diverse techniques of spatial-omics, with a particular emphasis on multiplex immunofluorescence and spatial transcriptomics. The goal is to present a broad perspective of the methods and aid researchers in selecting the appropriate approach that suits their imaging requirements.
CrestOptics team of experts will be on hand to demonstrate the capabilities of our microscopy solutions and answer any questions you may have. There will be ample opportunity for questions and interaction with all instructors and other participants throughout the course.
We look forward to welcoming you to this exciting imaging course and to the opportunity to contribute to your learning experience.
